What does it look like to trust your “who’s” and why do we all find it so hard? Here are a few tools that may help you to create trust and be intentional. Be the key that unlocks trust creation!
Defining Leadership: Belief in Self, Vision, and Team
Leadership is a journey, not a destination. It’s about growth, learning, and inspiring others to reach their full potential. Here are three key elements that define me as a leader:
1. Belief in Who You Are
Self-belief is the cornerstone of effective leadership. It’s about understanding your strengths, acknowledging your weaknesses, and being authentic. When you believe in yourself, you exude confidence and inspire trust in others. This self-assurance allows you to make decisions with conviction and lead with integrity.
Trusting in yourself is key to an intentional leader. Challenge yourself to be the most self believing, empowered and intentional leader the world has ever seen.
2. Belief in Your Vision
A leader without a vision is like a ship without a compass. Your vision is your guiding star, the destination you strive to reach. It’s about having a clear picture of what you want to achieve and the impact you want to make. Believing in your vision means staying committed to your goals, even when faced with challenges. It’s about inspiring others to share in your dream and work together to make it a reality.
Your Vision is the glue that holds you and your team accountable. Without a Vision and a Why to your vision you will not succeed as a team. If you don’t have a Vision and would like some material on my Vision course, click here for more information.
3. Who’s on Your Team
No leader can succeed alone. The people you surround yourself with are crucial to your success. It’s about building a team of individuals who share your values, complement your skills, and bring diverse perspectives. A great leader always looks for ways to create trust and keep it.
You’re job as a leader is to trust completely in your who’s. The first step is to pick the right who that aleigns with your Vision and Why. Then you choose a Who that is intentional and empowered to take your Vision to the next level.
As a leader your trust in that “Who” completely is important to your teams success. Your rulebooks and boundaries as a leader have to be communicated as well so you can trust them. Be curious to discover your boundaries and rulebooks and how they relate to your vision and your team. Be curious and intentional as a leader.
The take away and resources
Take time this week to look for ways to empower and trust your “Who’s”. As a leader who trusts him or herself, take the time to spend in the quiet so you can be ready for the day! Challenge yourself to journal and learn.
Then from that place get to know your “Who’s” and let them know you value the work that they do. Each result of a situation depends on what your thought and emotion is and at the end of the day you get the opportunity to change that one thought at a time.
Here is a book that challenged me greatly and I know you will like it too. Have a great week.
Here is my past blog on trust as well. Enjoy.
